Krusteaz Shortbread Pecan Pie Bars and Giveaway

Gambar
I'm going to try and make this short and sweet....although I've never been able to accomplish that in the past. But I'll try. This is another Krusteaz Giveaway....with some really cool things 8 boxes of cookie mix!! (2 - Shortbread, 2 - Butter Vanilla Sugar, 2 - Snickerdoodle and 2 - Triple Chocolate Chunk), Then....there is a tote bag, an E-Z Deco Icing Pen, Edible Markers (SO COOL!!!) and a set of Christmas cookie cutters. This set-up is perfect! Especially for kids. But since my kids are adults now, I had to borrow one, just to prove how much fun kids will have with this stuff. I let him do it all...start to finish (I did help with rolling out the cookie dough a little) and he was busy all day. Loving it. From mixing to icing to drawing with the pens. And he did a great job! Of course an adult would have loads of fun too. And I did, Only I made other things. Like these Thumbprint cookies, using the Shortbread mix. The recipe is on the back of the box. And of course I mad...

Krusteaz Muffin Waffles & Giveaway

Gambar
I know you've seen the boxes at the market. I mean, they've been around for longer than you and I have been alive. (So glad I can say that. They may not card me at the market anymore, but I'm still younger than Krusteaz.) Although, age is a huge plus when it comes to product. They must be doing something right. Besides making a reliable product, they keep up with the times as well. They know what we like. They know that when the weather cools we like seasonal flavors such as pumpkin and cranberry. They also know that we are more and more conscientious about what we eat. They have gluten free mixes as well as organic. Although I'm going to be specifically talking about the fun seasonal flavors, I did want to let you know that there are other options. Not that long ago, a big ole package full of 10 boxes of Krusteaz mixes, a cool tote, an oven mitt and a selfie stick arrived at my door. Yes, I now own a selfie stick. I have to admit that I did need to read the directions ...

South Side Fizz Cocktail with #VOSSWater #Giveaway

Gambar
Spring is almost over and summer is approaching fast. This was supposed to be a spring announcement, that VOSS released two new flavors. But in my life, spring arrived and change sprung. My computer was sick as a dog, I sold my house, packed 29 yrs worth of accumulation and moved. Now I'm in a new place, missing my old kitchen with all it's counter space, and adjusting to new things. I'm not settled into my new home quite yet. Actually far from it. But to be honest with you, I needed to turn my back on all those boxes, even just for a little bit, and focus on something other than "where am I going to put this?!" So, back to my purpose. VOSS Water and their new unique, refreshing, sparkling water flavors. If you're not familiar with VOSS, let me just give you a brief introduction. VOSS Water comes from Southern Norway and was founded by 2 boyhood friends who recognized the purity of the water from their small yet environmentally pristine nation. They take thei...

Mixed Berry Gluten-Free Parfait and a #VansSimplyDelicious #Giveaway

Gambar
Whether you're gluten-free by choice or by necessity, I'm sure you're thankful for the progress GF products have made. Both in quality and versatility. There has never been a larger selection than there is today. Van's Simply Delicious has just widened that selection with a few more products added to their already delicious line-up. I'm talking about Van's Soft-Baked Whole Grain Granola Clusters and a variety of Van's Whole Grain Pastas Sides . And I'm here to tell you a little about them and how I used them. First...the Soft-Baked Granola.....omg...YUM! Like seriously. There are two varieties: Blueberry Walnut and Cranberry Almond. Both are equally delish and only lasted 2 days in my house. They're soft, chewy and crunchy with hints of cinnamon. I made a delicious Mixed Berry Parfait with with Blueberry Walnut granola. The next day the bag was empty. So I grabbed the unopened Cranberry Almond bag and took it to work (to guarantee that I'd get s...

Russian Sailor and a Lovely Candy Co #Giveaway

Gambar
Spring is in the air. Gardening is on many of our minds. Prepping the earth, plotting and planning and planting. Then comes the nurturing and tending to those little seedlings, with high hopes of a bountiful harvest. The sweet, sweet satisfaction of growing your own fruits and vegetables. The pureness of it all. Fresh, flavorful, and nutritious. We all do our best to feed our families healthy foods. Although it's not always easy or affordable. Organic, non-gmo produce isn't in everyone's budget. With our own gardens though....it's a bit more affordable and very controllable, making every garden prepping, back breaking moment worth it. But every once in a while (or more) we have that craving....the child in us is crying out for some good old fashioned candy. Sure, that freshly picked strawberry is as sweet as sweet can be. But it's not candy. There are times when I really want candy ! I dunno about you, but I have never seen a mainstream candy bar with the words org...

Winter Blush and an Uncommon Goods Giveaway

Gambar
I have a little something, and then some, to add to your Holiday Cheer!! I'm giving away a  $50 Gift Certificate to  Uncommon Goods   and I have a great little cocktail recipe for you as well. You see that pink marble looking glass in the above photo? No, it's not a candle holder. No, it's not marble. It's a shot glass. And it's been carved out of Himalayan Salt! I don't know about you, but I think that's ingenious! And yes...when you take a shot, you taste the salt. This little gem (it's one of four gems. I mean, honestly, who wants to take a shot by themselves?) was a gift from Uncommon Goods . I'm really looking forward to using these for the holidays, especially the New Year. Cheers!!! Actually, they have a lot of great gifts and items to brighten up your holidays. If shot glasses aren't your thing, don't worry, you can choose from an incredible variety of items from gifts for ' her ' to gifts for 'him', household items, ...

Tate's Bake Shop Linzer Heart Cookies and a Giveaway

Gambar
Today I have a special treat for you. And a surprise. Your treat is this recipe direct for Tate's Bake Shop : TATE'S BAKE SHOP LINZER HEART COOKIES These decorative cookies make beautiful and tasty gifts.  An important tip: be sure to chop the nuts and chocolate very fine in a food processor (pulse to chop so the friction doesn’t warm them), or the dough will be too rough-textured to roll out smoothly. You need a graduated set of heart-shaped cookie cutters to make these. Yield: 20 sandwich cookies 2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour  1 cup cornstarch  ¼ teaspoon salt  ¾ pound (3 sticks) salted butter, at room temperature 1 cup confectioners’ sugar 1 large egg, at room temperature 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract  2 cups toasted, skinned and very finely chopped hazelnuts 6 ounces bittersweet chocolate, very finely chopped  -plus- ½ cup seedless raspberry jam  ½ cup confectioners’ sugar for sifting 1. Sift the flour, cornstarch, and salt into a medium bo...
